I recently finished reading Noel Tyl's book "Vocations - The New Midheaven Extension Process" (ISBN 0-7387-0778-3) and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn more about astrological vocational analysis. Mr. Tyl believes that most people who practice his techniques will be able to read the message of the stars within a couple of minutes. Okay. Yet I find that it is nice to have all the pertinent data all in one place so I don't miss something important - I can then concentrate on analysis. Vocation gathers all the necessary information in any chart and displays it so you can get right to work figuring out the best vocation(s) for the person involved. In addition, parents, Vocation allows you to create natal reports so that you may truly begin to understand your children's basic tendencies, in addition to understanding what they need to be doing in the world so that the greatest good can be done.
NOTE: Vocation uses a new installation procedure so that all you have to do is download
the Vocation_v110_install.exe file and double-click on it to install the program. If you have previous
names.fil and options.opt files, then the installation program will automatically save your old copy of
these files in a \backup directory off your installation directory. After installation simply copy your
old names.fil file back into your installation directory and use your old options.opt file as a reference
for making changes in your new options.opt file. Review the new settings in the options.opt file, if any,
and compare them with what you previously had in your old options.opt file. Usually, only options #18 - #24
need to be changed.
