Dear Allen,
I think the automatic notifications are nice to get, perhaps need to be checked to allow when signing up, though.
Also, it was unfortunate that the earlier notifications came from age@astrowin.org and then over time switched to coming from otie_nospam1@cox.net. Unfortunate sounding .net id, don’t you think? The first one I got from that site name gave me pause to think of it as spam but I chose to trust it and have been gratified from that choice.
Thanks,
Paul
Wow, this is really terrific and wonderful news if I am correctly reading that the DB is reopened.
Funny, seconds before I saw the title of the “re-opened” post in the sidebar, I was reading with vigorous sympathetic/empathetic agreement your June 24th post on what dumbasses most Americans are.
It’s true. People do not comprehend how empty are the heads of 90% of the “students” coming out of our middle schools and high schools. As the “Nation at Risk” report said in the 1980′s, “if a foreign power were responsible for the dismal situation in our schools today in the United States, we would consider it an act of war.” — I am very pessimistic about the entire situation; we are in very deep trouble.
Many thanks for the tremendous boon this potentially provides to people. I for one am about to actively contact some of my stronger matches during the next several weeks. Thank you!
===> There simply must exist a good number of ways to more broadly and deeply disseminate to wider public circles the fact of the existence of the Database. This matching function is what so many people are looking for. And many people have some lesser or greater belief in astrology. There have got to be ways to exponentially increase awareness of this service! Has it ever been cited/referenced in The Mountain Astrologer (for example)?
No, I have never mentioned this particular part of my website to Mountain Astrologer. Since I’m not commercial, I don’t think TMA cares about my website. They, along with most others, seem to cater to those who make money from astrology.
Dear Allen,
Just updated my wonderful progs to do my astro meteorology predictions for next year… can’t thank you enough for offering hard working non paid astro mets such as myself, the brilliant facility via astrowin and aspectarian, without which I wouldn’t be able to continue offering a free long range weather prediction. So big thank you very much, really appreciate your big hearted efforts at keeping us all functioning with your excellent programmes, a great service to us all, thanks, Margie, UK
This is in regard to the database generating reports and storage. The numbers are at the 5 digit mark and the boxes to generate natal wheels, etc. only accept 4 digit numbers. You would need to increase the capacity of the entry of the numbers in the I.D. boxes in accordance to the influx of user’s in this database.
November 16, 2009 – regarding my Match-Making Database:
I see that there were some things that were messed up since my web host did a server upgrade several weeks ago. First, couples’ dual cosmodyne scores were not being calculated and second, some people couldn’t see their synastry reports with another. I think everything is back to normal now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I saved this observation for a separate post.
